Keep in mind this is my first time having a service done
Keep in mind this is my first time having a service done at this location. I usually go to the greenfield location. But this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in customer service. I was completely inconvenienced and treated like I was invisible and not important enough. Two weeks prior I came in and scheduled three services. Oil change, seatbelt inspection and sunroof inspection. I come in the day of the appointment and was told that I couldn’t wait on the car because it needed to be in the shop for a while (whatever that meant). I was told there were no loaners available. That’s understandable but my issue was why wasn’t that brought up when I made the appointment so that I could have reserved a loaner . Long story short I was given a courtesy uber home. I did not plan on being stuck in my house all day. I ended up getting a ride from my dad to run the errands that I needed to do that day. While I’m out and about I received a text from uber saying my driver was near by. Basically a ride was sent back to my house before I was even told that my car was ready. So I called cancelled the uber and had my dad bring me back to his house so that I can get picked up and brought back to my vehicle. I once again had to postpone my own plans to come back and get my car. I come back to get my car and was escorted to the cashier. I asked her if my car was being pulled around she said no. So I had to walk outside and look for my own car. I get in the car and the old sticker from my previous oil change was still in the windshield. So I had to go back in and ask about that and was told that you guys don’t do that anymore. At this point I’ve made up my mind that I won’t ever return to this location. I have gone to the greenfield location for the most minor service and been treated a thousand times better. I live 26 mins away from your dealership so all that back and forth could’ve been avoided. I could’ve really just waited for the service to be done because all of this happened in a two hour span.

If I could give Landon a higher rating I would! My experience buying my new CX5 a few weeks ago was hands down the absolute best car buying experience I have ever had. I had two transactions in April. I purchased the current lease I had on a 2023 CX5 which I was giving to my daughter and then I needed a car to replace that I was looking at a Volkswagen a Buick and a Mazda. Landon started. building the relationship with me 2 years ago while I was waiting for service on my car. Just chatting he did a quick transfer of his contact card to my phone and I always looked for him when I went to the dealership. When I went to buy a car last May for my husband, we had a terrible experience at your dealership and we walked out (Landon wasn’t there. )and went straight over to Summers Buick and bought a new car there. I told Landon and Gwen about my experience and the fact that I was looking to buy a new car after this lease was up and they bent over backwards to make sure I was taken care of. For the first time in my life I felt great leaving a car dealership after buying a car. That says a lot because I’m 63 years old and I’ve purchased or at least quite a few cars in those years Landon Gwen and Robin were a fantastic team and it’s that team visual that clients like to see because you don’t feel like a number and you don’t feel like justanother sale. I spent more hours in your dealership over the last two months than I can count, and they always greeted me with a smile always answered my questions and never made me feel like a bother. I even brought them cookies when we came to pick up my car which I can assure you giving a gift of food has never been on my list for the person who is selling me a car. Great job to that team Landon, Gwen and Robin. Russ Darrow Mazda is very lucky to have you guys and because of them I guess I am a lifelong Mazda owner and Russ Darrow client. After a terrible bait-and-switch experience with a dishonest finance manager and salesperson at Russ Darrow Mazda in Madison with buying a vehicle at the Metro Mazda Milwaukee lot, I was able to purchase the vehicle I initially wanted directly from the team at Metro Mazda, and it turned out to be the best experience I’ve ever had buying a car. Erica and Alejandro were both very straightforward and treating me like a real human through the entire process. There were no pressure tactics, they knew what I wanted and didn’t want, what I was willing to pay and respected that through the entire process. If you are concerned or apprehensive about buying a car, check this place out. I’ll definitely shop here first for my next Mazda.

The day I came to purchase they gave me different
The day I came to purchase they gave me different information and I put the down payment in cash and when I went to pick up the car they gave me different information about loan percentage. When I want to cancel the deal because of totally different rates and sales manager came and tells me that if I cancel da deal I’m gonna loose some percentage of down payment. But that was sound like threat not like just statement. Manager was not polite , he was sound like gangster. By the way Then I told him that previous sales person gave some different information and in return manager said sales person made mistake. I told manager that is your guy’s mistake not mine because they supposed to give me correct information before to get my down payment. If they have told me correct information about . I would not be putting any down or making any deal. At the end of the conversation I will not recommend anybody to go to Russ Darrow’s . I bought car from Honda city and other Honda dealers but I never have any bad experience with them that I have with Russ Darrow Mazda people. I must say I had worse experience with them in 20 years of my car buying market

I brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation.
I brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. The Service Tech Eric sent video stating the oil have been changed and the tires rotated. When I get home, I have my rt front wheel that has abrasion on the rim was still in the same position. When I called Victor my service underwriter back to askhow could the tires have been rotated and that same rim be in the same position. He called me back the next day and said that Eric indeed had not rotated the tires because he couldn't find the wheel lock which was in the glove compartment. Why Eric couldn't come to the service writer or directly to me and ask where the lock was is beyond me. But instead ,Eric lied in the video. Eric lied to the Service under writer. The dealer committed fraud by stating they did a service that they did not. Appalling, if I could've given you a zero rating I would have. This has been my general experience with this dealership in buying the car and now this is my first time bringing it in there for Service.

I am not someone that leaves reviews, but I have bought dozens, yes dozens, of new cars and I have never had a better experience than I just did at Russ Darrow Mazda in Milwaukee. Milad, my salesman, actually listened to to my wants and needs and didnt try to sell me something I didnt need. Gwen the sales manager got involved (I had some particular demands that were hard to meet) and between the 2 of them they exhausted all avenues until they landed on the perfect vehicle to fit my needs. In a world where customer service is all but dead, Milad and Gwen truly went above and beyond, and I recommend them to anyone looking to buy a vehicle

Horrible experience buying my vehicle. The salesman and financial manager tried to fraudulently add $5000 to my loan, lied about being able to remove the Xzilon and Advance 5 Protection Bundle, and the salesman manager lied to us about having the vehicle inspected by an Audi dealership after I drove off of the lot and had “Turn Engine Off”, “Low Coolant”, and “Low Tire Pressure Lights” come on. I had to find an O’Rileys at 9:00 PM in Milwaukee add antifreeze because it was dangerously below the minimum line. Then I discovered Russ Darrow changed two of the tires but did not put on the same size when they purchased the car. When Russ Darrow “inspected” it, they told me the antifreeze was in the normal range and I should buy two new tires. I would NEVER recommend this company. NEVER.

I don’t write reviews often, but the lack of professionalism here needs to be called out. Our sales representative, Janae, was genuinely great… helpful, kind, and professional. I hate that she is wrapped into this review. Unfortunately, the issues we experienced were entirely due to dealership management, not her. We test drove a 2019 RAM truck and agreed to pay full sticker price because we felt the price was fair and reasonable. We were pre-approved to pay the full price through our own bank at ~6% APR, but allowed the dealership to explore financing. When the price sheet came back, the numbers were shocking: nearly $800/month on a ~$30k vehicle over 72 months. They refused to disclose the interest rate (which we later estimated to be almost triple our pre-approval), and we noticed thousands added in fees, including a $500 “security etch” and a maintenance warranty we explicitly declined. Management insisted these add-ons and their financing were mandatory if we wanted the vehicle. When we questioned this and asked to speak with the manager, we were told to either accept the deal as-is or leave. Despite agreeing to STICKER PRICE THAT THEY ASKED FOR, they refused to sell the vehicle unless we accepted unnecessary fees and a much higher interest rate than our pre-approval. This dealership does not act in good faith. The pricing is misleading as they impose scammy fees. We paid sticker price, the price they wanted, and they still refused. This behavior was entirely unprofessional, and is exactly why car dealers have a bad reputation. I hope that they change these practices.

She had my car less than 12 hours and she want to charge me $200 for diagnostics for a vehicle that had bumper-to-bumper warranty. She was awful. My car never got diagnosed and they held it for a week and nobody called me back.

After a terrible bait-and-switch experience with a dishonest finance manager and salesperson at Russ Darrow Mazda in Madison with buying a vehicle at the Metro Mazda Milwaukee lot, I was able to purchase the vehicle I initially wanted directly from the team at Metro Mazda, and it turned out to be the best experience I’ve ever had buying a car. Erica and Alejandro were both very straightforward and treating me like a real human through the entire process. There were no pressure tactics, they knew what I wanted and didn’t want, what I was willing to pay and respected that through the entire process. If you are concerned or apprehensive about buying a car, check this place out. I’ll definitely shop here first for my next Mazda.
